A friend of mine and I have become very interested in cooking in dutch ovens; the kind that you use with charcoal underneath and on the lid. Pioneer women we are not! But, we plan to have some good food at camp when our husbands come back from a horseback ride.

Cooking Beans in Dutch Oven 2
The beans have been cooking for 4 hours and are finally ready to eat. I have had to stay with them all that time adding charcoal and stirring. Don't think I'll cook dry beans this way again.
