What a perfect time to camp out. The weather was great, cool in the morning and night, and warm during the day. Sitting around the campfire with good friends was a joy. The kids had a wonderful time. I think there were 10 children in all, not all of them at one time. Old Francis, the mule got a work our but didn't seem to mind. The food was good; always is when cooked outside. We heard a lot of tales from the trail riders past experiences. Wednesday night we had church services which was a blessing to all of us. Us ladies went into town one day and shopped at re-sale shops. We found some bargains and had lots of fun. No trip is complete without a trip to Whataburger, so we ate there on our last night. We loaded up to go home Saturday morning. We had mixed emotions. We were ready to go home and get a good bath and sleep in our own beds but we hated to leave the peacefulness of the forest. Getting home was an experience of it's own; all the unloading of our stuff, cleaning everything and putting it away and all the clothes washing, checking a weeks worth of mail and messages. Back to the rat race. When do we go again? Pictures below.

Syrup Festival
Had a great time at the Syrup Festival Saturday. I went with two very good friends. I had a blast. We shopped for new stuff and old stuff and I bought some of both. But, what I like best is what I paid the least for. I enjoy shopping for bargins. I can't wait for our next bargin hunt. I'm just afraid I will spend too much money trying to save money. ......know what I mean.
